From Two Mirrors to a Testable Account of Self-Revision
Mirror Observer Theory overlaps most closely with predictive self-modeling and enactive, relational accounts of identity, while sharing some features with higher-order theories. Its promising research contribution is a manipulable human–AI feedback loop for studying self-revision; neither that loop nor the literature reviewed establishes how subjective experience arises.
